CMRI Happy Patient – Barkha Sen

Barkha Sen, a young 24 year old girl for whom life had just started with all its flamboyance and joy, got knocked down by a very old kidney disease. Being a professional dancer and a private sector job holder, she had a committed eventful life. However, Barkha’s childhood kidney disorder reached a very critical stage requiring dialysis, eventually followed by a transplant as a part of her treatment. Twice to thrice a week dialysis led to disruption of her regular schedules and forced her to compromise on the quality of her life. It was during such distress, that Barkha’s aunt took the role of a knight in shining armour. She decided to donate one of her kidneys to Barkha and revive her normal course of life. It is indeed commendable that during this hour of crisis, neither Barkha nor her aunt ever gave up and held onto dear life with utmost grit and fortitude. The outcome with the help of expert team of doctors at CK Birla Hospitals was naturally a successful transplant. Today, Barkha has resumed normalcy and her job and is all hale and hearty. She expresses her sincere gratitude to her generous, life-altering aunt and the hospital for giving her a re-birth.
