All around the world, 12th May is the day to celebrate the irreplaceable contribution nursing makes to the world’s health and wellbeing and to commemorate the birth of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
CMRI lead the celebrations with the theme ‘Nurses: A Voice to Lead, Health for All.’
CMRI encouraged all nurses to get involved with the celebrations and raise their voices to show colleagues, patients and the public just how important nursing is for the health of individuals, families and communities.
At CMRI we began the celebration by thanking the actual Heroes who built the Nurses – their Parents. As we are aware of the fathom of personal sacrifices our Nurses make to be committed to patient care – we surprised them with an entire day to movie masti, yummy tummy food and crazy shopping. The celebration concluded with a Gala evening filled with glitter & glitz for the 24 x 7 warriors – The CMRI Nursing Team. The most astounding moment of the 50thAnniversary of CMRI and Nurses Day was the nostalgic presence of retired Nurses of CMRI, who consider our organization as their mother institution.
The grand celebration was infused with an inspirational and motivational speech by our COO – Dr.Simmardeep S Gill, Unit Head – Mr.Bobby Verghese and Director of Nursing Capt. – Madhukari Ray.
